SCIENS Co., Ltd. Terms of Service
(Effective Date: November 1, 2025)


Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Service set forth the terms and conditions for the use and operation of the services provided by SCIENS Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”).

Article 2 (Definitions)
The major terms used in these Terms are defined as follows:

  1. Member: A person who agrees to the Site’s terms, provides personal information, registers as a member, and enters into a service agreement with the Site.

  2. Service Agreement: The contract between the Site and a Member regarding the use of the Site’s services.

  3. Member ID: A unique combination of letters and numbers assigned to each Member for identification and service use.

  4. Password: A combination of letters and numbers selected by the Member to verify identity and protect rights.

  5. Operator: The administrator who manages and operates the Site.

  6. Termination: The act by which a Member cancels the service agreement.

Article 3 (Governing Rules)
The Operator may establish additional policies as needed. In case of any conflict between this Agreement and such policies, the operational policies shall take precedence.

Article 4 (Establishment of Service Agreement)

  1. The service agreement is established when a person who wishes to register as a Member agrees to these Terms and the Operator approves the application.

  2. A person who wishes to register as a Member must read these Terms and indicate agreement by selecting “I agree” during the registration process.

Article 5 (Application for Use)

  1. Users who wish to register as Members must provide the required information requested by the Site (e.g., ID, password, nickname, etc.).

  2. Users who provide false or another person’s information cannot claim any rights related to the Site and may be subject to legal penalties.

Article 6 (Privacy Policy)
The Site and the Operator do not store Members’ passwords and comply with the Company’s Privacy Policy regarding the management of personal information.
The Operator takes reasonable measures to protect Members’ personal data in accordance with relevant laws and the Site’s Privacy Policy.
However, the Operator bears no responsibility for data exposure caused by the Member’s own negligence.
If a Member posts or distributes illegal content that violates public morals or national security, the Operator may view and submit such data to the relevant authorities upon official request.

Article 7 (Obligations of the Operator)

  1. The Operator shall process valid Member inquiries or complaints promptly. If immediate handling is difficult, the Operator shall notify the Member via post, message, or email.

  2. The Operator shall ensure continuous and stable service operation. In case of system failure or data loss, the Operator shall repair or restore it without delay. However, the Site may temporarily suspend service in cases of force majeure such as natural disasters or unavoidable operational circumstances.

Article 8 (Obligations of Members)

  1. Members shall comply with these Terms, the Site’s policies, notices, and relevant laws, and shall not engage in actions that interfere with the Site’s operations or damage its reputation.

  2. Members may not transfer, assign, or provide as collateral their rights or status under the service agreement without explicit consent from the Site.

  3. Members must manage their ID and password carefully and may not allow third-party use without the Site’s approval.

  4. Members shall not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of the Operator, the Site, or any third party.

Article 9 (Service Hours)

  1. Services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, unless otherwise restricted for technical or operational reasons.

  2. The Site may temporarily suspend services without prior notice in cases such as emergency maintenance, replacement, malfunction, or force majeure (e.g., national emergencies, power outages, natural disasters).

  3. In the event of scheduled maintenance or unavoidable interruptions, the Site shall notify Members in advance via announcements or notices.

Article 10 (Termination of Service Use)

  1. Members wishing to terminate their service agreement must submit a withdrawal request online.

  2. Upon termination, all Member-related data and content will be automatically deleted, and the Operator will no longer have access to the Member’s information.

Article 11 (Restrictions on Service Use)
Members are prohibited from engaging in the following acts. If any of these occur, the Site may suspend or terminate the Member’s account and take appropriate legal action:

  1. Providing false information during registration or after.

  2. Interfering with another user’s service or stealing personal data.

  3. Impersonating the Site’s administrators or related personnel.

  4. Infringing upon the rights or intellectual property of the Site or third parties.

  5. Using another Member’s ID without authorization.

  6. Collecting, storing, or disclosing other users’ personal data without consent.

  7. Engaging in activities related to criminal acts.

  8. Violating any applicable laws or regulations.

Article 12 (Management of Posts)

  1. The Operator is responsible for managing all posts and materials on the Site and must monitor for inappropriate content. Upon discovery or report, such content shall be removed, and the posting Member shall be notified.

  2. If requested by a government or regulatory authority, the Operator may delete or move posts without prior consent.

  3. Posts may be deemed inappropriate if they:

    • Defame or insult others.

    • Violate public order or morals.

    • Encourage illegal copying or hacking.

    • Contain commercial advertisements.

    • Are related to criminal activity.

    • Infringe copyrights or third-party rights.

    • Violate any applicable laws.

  4. If a post is alleged to infringe upon rights (e.g., defamation, IP infringement), the Site may temporarily suspend or remove it until a resolution or legal decision is made.

Article 13 (Storage of Posts)
If the Site is discontinued for unavoidable reasons, the Operator shall notify Members in advance and take reasonable measures to facilitate data transfer or backup.

Article 14 (Copyright of Posts)

  1. Copyright of posts created by Members belongs to the respective Member. The Site shall not use such posts for commercial purposes without the author’s consent, except for non-commercial use or service display.

  2. Members may not commercially exploit or distribute information obtained through the Site.

  3. The Operator may delete, move, or reject any post that violates Article 12 without prior notice.

Article 15 (Compensation for Damages)

  1. Members are primarily responsible for any civil or criminal liability arising from their actions on the Site.

  2. The Site shall not be liable for damages caused by force majeure events such as natural disasters, or by the Member’s willful misconduct or negligence.

Article 16 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Operator is not responsible for any loss of expected benefits from the use of the Site’s services.

  2. The Operator is not liable for service interruptions caused by telecommunications providers or unavoidable circumstances.

  3. The Operator bears no responsibility for data, posts, or transmissions created by Members.

  4. The Operator is not liable for service interruptions caused by Members’ negligence.

  5. The Operator is not responsible for any disputes or transactions between Members or between a Member and a third party.

  6. The Operator makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, or authenticity of information posted by Members.

  7. The Operator is not liable for any damages arising from product or service transactions conducted through the Site.

  8. The Operator is not responsible for disputes between Members or between Members and third parties occurring without the Operator’s fault.

  9. The Operator shall not be held liable for damages caused by system errors, third-party attacks, or computer viruses beyond the Operator’s control.

This Agreement shall take effect on November 1, 2025.
